Could a cleanse boost your performance? (Part II)

Today I share 4 simple steps on How to Cleanse.

In Part I, I talked about the 6 signs you should
look for to know if it’s time for a cleanse.

But what I didn’t talk about was how to cleanse
or that you can cleanse by doing more than just
changing what you eat.

If you’re not sure why you should bother with a
cleanse, check out my first post then click the back
button to come back here and learn more.

How to Cleanse?

Step 1: Identify the areas of your life that are
cluttered and congested. In Part I, I focused
primarily on the body. But, maybe your performance
would benefit most by cleansing or decluttering in
one or more of the following areas:

  • Your mind? Thought processes? Mindset practices?
  • Your body? Exterior? Interior?
  • You physical environment? Home? Office? Car? Work bag?
  • Your digital environments? Email in box? File storage? Programs/software? Voice-mail?
  • Relationships? Personal? Professional?
  • Business practices? Back-office operations? Customer/client interfacing practices? Communications? Marketing? Sales? Supply management? Other?
  • Your Calendar? Appointments? Type/location of calendar? Task management?
  • Your “To do” list? Size? Location? Tracking?
  • Other? You fill in the blank: _________ .

Step 2: Make a list of the top 3 things that are
draining your energy.

Step 3: Pick your top energy “drainer” and go to
work. Cleanse, declutter, delete, recalibrate, refresh,
organize… whatever is needed to shed the old
decayed, congested energy and invite in new,
refreshed, reinvigorating energy.

Step 4: Take a deep breath and appreciate all
your hard work.

Step 5: Repeat until you’ve tackled your top 3
things and experienced a boost in your
performance.

Not sure how to go about tackling Steps 3 and 4?
Stay tuned.

Final Tip to Get Your Holiday Zen On (hint: focus on what's working well)

Happy New Year!

Here it is. Your final tip of the holiday season
before the New Year hits.

It’s simple, yet perhaps not easy. And it’s
something I’ve been doing this past week.

Tip #6 to Get Your Holiday Zen On Without Missing
Out on the Fun:

Keep what is working well for you, and get rid of
(or address) the rest.

This tip brings to mind something wise my yoga
teacher once said to me: the only way to get
around something that is bothering you is to go
right through it.

So, if in the process of making a list of what’s
working well and what’s not working well, you come
across something that has been bugging you
forever. (And those things are the biggest energy
drainers.) Then, perhaps it’s time to address it
head on. That’s right. To get around it, you have
to go through it.

My husband and I tackled some clutter yesterday,
in a whirlwind of activity while our youngest was
napping, and now the whole house feels lighter and
nicer looking. In fact, my body feels lighter,
more energized, and in general things feel more
manageable.

What’s on your list?

Tip #1 to Get Your Holiday Zen On

Are you ready to “Get Your Holiday Zen On Without
Missing Out on the Fun”?

Then, check out this first tip that might just go
easier on your wallet, make gift giving more
enjoyable, and even be good for the planet.

TIP #1: Simplify gift giving in one of the
following ways:

(1) Donate to a cause of your choosing in the
name of your friend, family member, neighbor or
colleague, instead of giving them more stuff!

(2) Give him or her a gift card s/he can use for
everyday necessities (groceries, vitamins, even
paying a bill)

(3) Create a homemade gift certificate for
cooking them a meal

(4) Bake a delicious, nutritious treat that is
free of refined sugars and trans fats

(5) Make a date to volunteer together, rather
than exchange gifts

(6) Agree to a reasonable limit on the number of
gifts or money you’ll spend – then stick to it!

Look for more tips over the coming days so you
can live your life:

  •  more “on your terms”, no matter where the holidays take you
  • more peaceful and authentically relaxing, no matter how much work you have to do
  • and more lightness, ease and feeling on your A-game, no matter what people serve you at the table

And if tips aren’t enough, then give yourself the
gift of a special 75-minute private Breakthrough
Session with me.

Only 1 (one) discounted session left on Monday,
December 12 before I take my holiday break!
