Money isn’t just numbers — it’s the means to most ends in our current world. 💰 💰 💰
Money is a powerful motivator and a common obstacle in career decisions. 💸 💸 💸
As leaders, we often view money as a simple metric: a reward for performance, an indicator of success. However, its influence is far more complex.
Money inspires bold career moves, fuels ambition, and often signifies success. But for many, it can also make us feel trapped. Money is often a source of anxiety, fear, indecision, and even stagnation.
In my work as an executive career coach, I’ve seen brilliant leaders stay in roles far past their time…simply because the paycheck was too good to walk away from.
On the flip side, I’ve also seen people under value themselves, afraid to aim higher for fear of asking too much.
Leaders, wake up to this reality: your personal financial comfort (or anxiety) not only influences your career decisions but also translates directly into how you lead your team and manage your budget.
Based on my observations in thousands of hours of coaching sessions, I’ve observed that true leadership requires financial clarity. You need to understand where money ends and purpose begins.
🔎 Reflection for the Week: Ask Yourself… Am I making career decisions from passion and alignment with my purpose — or instead from anxiety about money? What would shift if I trusted in what my heart is calling for versus short-term security?
Stay tuned…this month, I’m exploring how money shapes our careers — where it drives us forward and where it quietly holds us back.
